The Radio Society of Bermuda

Welcome to the World Wide Web service of The Radio Society of Bermuda (RSB), the official International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) organization representing the interests of amateur radio on the Islands of Bermuda.

These pages will tell you about the RSB and the hobby of amateur radio in Bermuda. You will also find items of interest to local RSB members, our ham friends overseas and to other radio enthusiasts throughout the world which will, hopefully, help you better enjoy amateur radio. JOIN US!

FYI: Local VP9's and overseas "Bermuda-philes" can often be found at 0900 Bermuda local time (UTC-4/UTC-3 DST) Sunday mornings on 14.275 mHz (NOT a DX net -- just a rag chew).

In celebration of Bermuda's 400th Anniversary, local radio amateurs have been granted permission to use "VP9400" as the prefix of their call sign during 2009.  Be sure to work one of these special call signs while they are available.  However, please be aware there are no special awards to be given out, nor is this a contest.

Also, listen out for VP9400BB during Easter Week.  A group of Boys Brigade members will be camping out on one of the local islands and will be on the air with this special call sign during that time.  To request a QSL car for this special call, please do so via the VP9 Bureau.
